My Work
I’m Sue Nyoni – a technology strategist and social media consultant, trainer and speaker. I provide consulting services to a wide range of people and organizations, advising and supporting them in the use of technology to support and further their missions, goals and values.
I love technology, not just because it’s cool, but because when it’s used right it has the power to support and enhance our individual lives and to effect positive social change in the global community.
Prior to starting my consulting practice I worked as an IT manager for the Dodge Foundation, overseeing and coordinating all aspects of its technology infrastructure. I also worked on managing the Foundation’s online presence and saw how social media and online communications could efficiently and affordably expand the reach of a mission-driven organization .
I did my undergraduate studies in Business Administration and Communications at the College of Saint Elizabeth in Morristown. I also hold a Master of Science Degree in Information Systems from the Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ.
My Background
While I’ve lived in NJ since 1993, I was born in Zimbabwe. Most of my family lives in Southern Africa, so I am very much bi-continental. Having lived in NJ as long as I have, however, I have a deep affection for the Garden State and it is very much home to me. I feel very lucky that I have two pretty amazing places to call “home”.
